Easter morning pics

Easter

We had a pretty mellow Easter this year. We dyed eggs at about 9:30 on Saturday night and the Easter bunny visited us first thing in the morning. The easter bunny brought all kinds of things that Dad wasn't too happy about. Crayons, play dough, gum.. The easter bunny was pretty naughty this year! The kids (well the boys)had a blast hunting eggs and finding their baskets. Brynn was mostly concerned with how much chocolate she could possible consume in one day. Typical women! Paxton came down buck naked and it took some convincing to get him to put on a diaper. He was very into his basket and he took some 'warming up' before he would join his brother in the egg hunt. (We hid 44 eggs this year!) Ethan was pretty good about leaving the 'easy' ones for Packy and only finding the hard ones! Paxton wasn't all that interested anyways, I think he only found about 10 and we had to point to most of them for him. He really was more interested in the candy and toys. After all the morning excitement we just lounged around and waited for Grandma and Stef to come over for Dinner! We had ham and scalloped potatoes, thanks to my mom. Oh, and she made a root vegetables salad that wasn't the biggest hit of dinner!! I didn't mind it, which Joe will tell you isn't really a compliment! I made some deviled eggs and that's about it, we ate, talked and went on with our lives! Here are some pics that I like!

Brynn went straight for the chocolate, she wasted no time!

And dove right in and wasn't afraid to show off her chocolate-E teeth!

Here's one of Ethan, being very excited about his play dough.

Paxton was also a fan of the chocolate!I love how he has lined all of his stuff that was in is basket in a nice OCD fashion on the floor! Love the transformer tattoos on the belly dude!

Here he is finding his first egg!

Ethan Carter West

OK, so since this is the west family blog I have decided to blog about my kids. I really like to blog about myself! So I will start with Ethan.... he is my sensitive child. I don't think he has a regular tone of voice. I am pretty sure he is constantly whining. He is my big helper, he loves to help, unless it involves throwing something away, for some reason that is the chore he really does not like to do. He is more than willing to help me out around the house with almost anything else though. He loves his sister, he is not so sure about his brother. It might be that Paxton truly can beat on him, the kid is solid, and Eth is so dainty! Right now he is big into rhyming words and his five senses. I would like him to be more worried about his address and phone number and how to count to twenty, (he really doesn't like 14 and 15, he skips them every time) but I guess it will all come with time! He is super excited about big boy school and the fact that he had his cholesterol drawn last week and he can't wait to find out if it is high or low. He is pretty sure it will be low because he exercises all of the time!

His very first worm that he caught by himself, he was pretty proud of it. I actually tried to get out of seeing the worm because I was making dinner or something and he made me go see it because he had done it all by himself. Then he killed it because when I was trying to get out of it I had mentioned that girls don't really like worms because the are yucky and gross.... lesson learned! (Also, love the dead grass in the background, thanks Dune!)

I just love this pic, I think he looks about twelve in it, and that breaks my heart. He loves to pose for the camera, the boy really should be a model. Look how excited Joe looks in the background! This is at Kade's 2nd b-day party and he is opening presents just to the right of me! Paxton is trying really hard to get those horn things to work!

This is Ethan being grumpy, who knows why, I can't remember exactly. I think he was mad because he couldn't play guitar hero or something like that!

This is him pretending to be happy so we can stop at Wendy's on the way to Kade's party!

This is him warming up to play guitar hero after Kade's party, notice the TV isn't even on yet!

Paxton Naughty West

Paxton is such a middle child. Troubled to the bone! Since staying at home (the whole three weeks) I have discovered how truly malicious he is! I am not kidding, I can not go pee without him destroying something. i.e dismantling a completely full sippy cup into all 6 pieces! That's just while I take a potty break. Imagine what would happen if I tried to hang up laundry!!!! When we went to the library on Thursday he thought it was hilarious that I couldn't yell at him. He just kept whispering, "hide, hide" and would run in between the aisles to hide from me. Since I was trying to watch Brynn and Ethan as well I don't know where he spent most of our library trip, all I know is that he had the quiet part down! His pre-school teachers have nothing but good things to say to him, how he progresses and how quiet he is, maybe they would like to buy him!?! Well here are some pics to give you all a little insight into my daily life....

This is what happens when I hang up laundry, That is my beautiful kitchen border, permanent markered!

This looks an awful lot like an 'E' to me, but he's not fessing up.

Oh and here is my beautiful electronic picture frame that my lovely husband bought me for Christmas, with Jeep fund money, might I add. That is Brynn (the same pic at the very bottom of my blog) under all the black marker.

Here he is shamefully cleaning up his mess. Obviously this isn't going to take off permanent marker but Kyle thought it would be good for him to scrub the wall for two or three hours. Luckily for him he is two and only had to endure a couple minutes of torture.

He was even kind enough to look at me for this pic after his beating and time out. No we don't actually beat our kids, please don't report us!

Let me just answer a couple questions for everyone, yes the markers are lucked up, I was hanging up laundry for about 4 minutes before checking on everyone, the wall isn't the only thing he got, he also got the floor, some of the island, a couple chairs, and the bottom support of the table, I can't magic eraser the wall paper, it takes the design as well as the marker. Now go back to your mellow lives and be thankful your kids aren't pure evil all day. Yes, all day, that is not an exaggeration. Okay it is, when he is tired he is really lovable, he loves to snuggle more than any of my kids, that is probably why I put up with it and don't actually sell him! I just wish he was tired more often! This incident caused my first mental break down since becoming a full time mom. It had been a long time coming, since about day four, (I think this was day 18ish!) but this was my breaking point!

My kids (Brynn)

Brynn is very sweet, but very naughty. She is the typical youngest child, she can melt your heart with no effort. However, she causes a lot of trouble, the difference is that when she cause trouble, she can always make it seem like it was someone else's fault. Usually one of her brothers!
She had a really great easter, ate candy non stop, (you can see her Ethiopian distended belly in the pic below!) hardly ate any real food, and had a blast playing with Joe, grandma and grandpa!

I just thought she looked like an Eskimo in this pic! She closes her eyes when she smiles, just like we all do! It must be genetic or something!

Here she is being naughty... one, she is standing on the play dough table... two, she as just dumped out all the crayons, and three she is saying cheese for Kyle because she knows that there is no way she is going to get in trouble because she is too dang cute and dad (and mom) is a sucker for it!

More being naughty, also I love her messy hair, I had just taken her pig tales out maybe ten minutes before! She is getting ready for bed, hence the diaper, my kids really don't get to run around in their diapers all day! Look at the crayons all over the floor! and no she didn't get in trouble at all, oh man, she truly is the baby!

Blowing a horn at her favorite cousin's (Kade) birthday party. Got to love the sponge bob hat and Tommy Boy on the TV!

Partying with Grandma, in a diaper again. She truly isn't always in a diaper she just spilled her drink on her on the way to Joe's house and her pants are in the dryer! I just love those big front beaver teeth and her closed eyes.

Please join me!!!

K, well here is a brief list of the charity runs I will be doing this summer. There may be more to come. I know for sure I will be doing a triathlon but I haven't looked for one yet. On April 12th I will be doing the MS 5k, on April 26th I will be doing the March of Dimes 5k, then finally I joined a team to do the Susan B Komen 5k on May 10th. I have a donation page set up for the breast cancer run. My page is: http://www.active.com/donate/komenslc2008/tararocks, please donate here and it will go towards my personal goal and my teams goal. 75% of local donations go to local cancer treatment and research centers and 25% is for the American Cancer Society. I will set up pages for March of Dimes and MS as well, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Yes I know they are first... I am just really passionate about breast cancer. If any one would like to join me on any of my en devours that would be great, just leave me a comment or shoot me a quick email.

I am so cool!

Cause now I am rollin' in a mini van. We did it, we bought a mini van, and I am damn proud of it! I hated the Jeep it was small, loud, rattly, shaky, pretty much everything you can expect from a Jeep. I still have my car, I love that stupid thing and I can't bring myself to get rid of it, and Kyle gets to keep the Jeep, but now he can lift it higher and blah blah blah. There are not enough seats in the rock crawler for all the kids, so at least we will have room for everybody in the chase vehicle! I think the reason I can't get rid of the car is because when me and Kyle worked at Acura that was like the best time of our lives. Our lives are great now and I am not discounting that, but in Phoenix specifically at Scottsdale Acura, we had great friends (I love you Janelle!), a great boss and it was just the two of us, it was just a really great time in our lives and I have wanted that stupid TL S since then! Anyway, I love my car and I love my van. It is a 2003 white Dodge Grand Caravan. I will post a pic as soon as I take one!

What's in your purse?

K, I saw this on another blog and I had to do it. So here it is, my beautiful purse. Thanks Eth for the awesome birthday present. I love my "Valentimes" purse. It's not to exciting, but here it goes....There's my wallet of course. This holds all of my receipts, my coupons, my credit and debit cards, my library card, all my frequent shopper punch cards, and the all important check book, also my ID. It's a busy little thing. Also I love it because it is pink and covered in stars and everyone knows it is my secret ambition to be a rock star! Then the usual suspects, a pen, a tide pen (most important), my inhaler, some diet pills, air borne, my keys, and of course gum. Well there it is, my purse, I hope none of my readers are psychiatrists getting ready to analyze this and find out how crazy I am!
