Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake this weekend and had a ton of fun. However, I don't have any pics. My camera died at Jungle Jims so I put some batteries in the motorhome. What I forgot was that the SD card was still in our old camera from loading the pictures on to the computer! Yes we have had that camera for close to nine months and no we still have not loaded it's software on to our computer.

We got there Friday night and set up camp. My mom and Doug met us up there with McKenna and Ryley. While Kyle was putting the rain fly on the tent for Ryley and McKenna I walked over to our neighbors fire and warmed some hotdogs for the kids. The little old couple asked me if all the little kids slept in the tent. I expalned that the tent was for the teenagers my mom was bringing up. The little old lady was so astonished that this little couple with four little kids (we had my little sister) would be setting up camp for teenagers! It was so cute and it kind of was culture shock because I wasn't a teenager myself that long ago. I don't really see us as this little old married couple that should have teenagers helping us. Not the other way around like this lady apparently felt!

Saturday we went to Minnetonka (spelling?) cave. The kids loved it. My mom almost died! Ethan is quite the geologist. He was taking about how they call this certain type of rock, bacon. My mom and Doug thought he was just being crazy and right after that the guy started to explain it to us. It was so cute. Paxton was carried almost the whole way because he was tired and cranky. Brynn wanted to walk the whole time. Mind you it is 440 steps in and then back out. She didn't care that she was holding up the whole group, she was going to walk. She honestly has no idea she is a tiny bird.

Sunday we went to the beach and it was awesome. That water was shallow forever so no one drowned! The kids had so much fun. I think Kyle had the best time though. He dug in the dirt and helped bury Ryley. It was sunny and warm, and I think it will be one of our new favorite places.

A birthday party at Jungle Jim's!

Ethan went to a birthday party today for a friend from pre-school, Matthew. I dropped him off and then I took Brynn and Paxton around and let them play. We stayed separated form the party group, but we would run into each other every once and a while. They all seemed to have a really good time. Even though I had only three hours of sleep I managed to get everyone up and ready, there alive and on time! We all had a nap when we got home. Here is a quick fact that you may not all know, my first job was at Jungle Jim's. This is only the second or third time I have been there since I became a mom 5 1/2 years ago. Everything is exactly the same and there are like 3 or 4 of the same people that still work there. 10 years later! What I do remember is always yelling at the kids for bouncing the hydraulics on the airplanes. Guess whose kids bounced the planes? That would be Paxton and Brynn of course. Also climbing on the front of the redemption counter, guess whose kids climbed on it? Well, just Brynn actually! She really was pretty well behaved. She rode every ride. I put her on them all by herself at least once. She got in buckled and got out all by herself. She did a great job! I don't think she knows she is only 1. Here are a few (lot) of my favorite pics!

Brynn on the marry go round! "Horsies, Yee haa"

Ethan did not make this face on his own, I prompted it from him. Although he was really proud of his tickets, I just wanted a silly face to go with it!

Brynn did not want to share the motor cycle. She is pushing with all of her mite to get Paxton off.

You can barely tell in this picture but Brynn is holding her hands up like the big kids and Packy is holding on for dear life!

Ethan with the birthday boy, Matthew, and their other friend from school, BreAnna. Those are some cute kids.

Ethan and BreAnna trying to hold their hands up while going backwards on the roller coaster.

Brynn flying her very own plane. She even was able to work the hydraulics and get herself in the air all by herself!

So this picture isn't all that great but they really loved being spun on this ride. I remember that was my favorite ride when I worked there. All us stupid teenagers would get on this ride and see how fast we could spin before it was no longer fun!

Why I need constant supervision!

Me and the kids had a crazy day on Monday. So I was in a hurry at the end of the day to get ready for work. Me and the kids were filthy and needed baths really bad. So I made the commanding decision to throw the little kids in the shower with me to conserve time. We all got out and dried off. I let them run around my bedroom in their birthday suits while I got ready for work. Well when I got to the make up stage they both wanted some. I even asked Packy, "Are you sure you want some on, make up is for girls?" He assured me he did anyway. So this is what we got, two toddlers and a mom ready for a night on the town!

Vegas baby!

So we spent a four day weekend in Vegas last weekend, it was a blast. Thursday.. we got there and went to the Excalibur, won like 20 bucks, then walked down the strip to Toby Keith's, I love this bar. That was fun, but we were exhausted by the time we got there at 1ish. They had the bartenders that spin the bottles and do tricks, it was pretty neat. Here are some pics of everyone being so excited to be in Vegas! This is when we first got there

Friday we got to see my mom's friend Vicki get married by Elvis. We went to a for reals strip club (waste of time!), we went to our first Vegas show, Fantasy, at the Luxor, then we went to Coyote Ugly, where me and my mom danced on the bar!

My mom and Doug dancing at the wedding.

Me and Kyle mocking them, posing like we're dancing, because we are too cool to actually dance!

Posing by Elvis' pink Cadi!

Dancing on the bar at Coyote Ugly!

Saturday, we walked the strip and rode the rides. The Nascar cafe ride is short and sweet but it was a lot of fun. We hung out in the adventure dome at Circus Circus for most of the day. We went to The Steakhouse for dinner. There is a reason they call it The Steakhouse, it was tasty. Then we went to the Stratosphere where me and my mom rode the big shot at the top and then we joined the boys for our second Vegas show, Bite. Last but not least, what would a trip to Vegas be without a new tattoo!

So all in all it was a fun weekend. We didn't get to see everything we wanted too, mostly because of the late nights resulting in late starts, but we got to see a lot. We didn't wake up until 12:30 on Sunday, since we were up to 5am the night before! So we didn't get home until like 11 at night. By the time we made it to Park City and back from getting our kids it was almost 2am. We missed our kids and are glad to be back in the valley of anti sin! Our kids missed us too. Ethan wants to know if he ever gets to go on vacation with us. Kyle didn't bother to tell him that we go on vacation to get away from them! Here they are posing with their souvenirs!

Random pics

K these are not related to anything but I wanted to post them!

Hangin out in the van

I made myself a spot to read while they played outside the other day and she stole it when I went inside to get water or something.

Some pretty sweet tattoos!

Brynn's first real haircut!

I took all the kids to get their hair cut 4 weeks ago or so. This was Brynn's first real hair cut. I have only trimmed her bangs before.

Not quite sure what to think

Definitely knows she hates it! The crying was short lived

Still not too happy about the whole thing

Finally an almost smile, still wouldn't look at the camera

Oh man, those are some cute kids!

July 24th

I had to work the whole 24th of July weekend (well Thursday and Friday night!)so we did not get to go to the St Anthony's sand dunes. Kyle was bummed. In all honesty I was pretty bummed too, but we did have a little pool party on the 24th so the kids had something to do. Then Kyle went to his Dad's that night for a BBQ, and the kids did some little fire works why I went to work. Then Saturday night we had a beer pong BBQ. It was fun, we set up the volley ball net for the first time in the two years we have lived here and it has gotten regular use ever since. Kyle also attempted his first back flip on the tramp that night and landed right on his head! Luckily there were no serious injuries.

Smiling but not looking at the camera

Playing happily and my brother's butt!

Just chillin'!

Playing in the mud Saturday while the adults were eating

Holy cow!!

So proud of herself and actually she has been dirtier!

Another zoo day

We went to the zoo for something to do a couple Sundays ago. Here are a few pics!

Cheese!

The bottle Paxton through in with the giraffes. We had to find a zoo worker to get it out.

Stuck like a bug in the net

Nobody was happy about posing next to the rhino

Hangin out

My kids love their picture taken. These are just some random day when they saw the camera and we had a quick photo shoot.

Oh man! Soooooo cute

The kids favorite hiding place

Just love to see her smile

Don't trip on that lip. This is how you know he is faking being sad. The bigger the lip the bigger the fib!

Being silly, love photo shop!

So Scary

You can almost see her evil, almost, not quite!

July 4th!

We went to starvation for the four of July with our friends, Brynn and Chris. It was a lot of fun, there were a ton of kids there. We had a few cocktails, some swimming, some tanning, and a good time. Here are some pics.

Life jackets on, but no helmets! I guess they don't realize all safety equipment is not created equal!

Hangin' out in dad's hat

Does it have gasoline and horsepower? If yes, then Brynn is game!

We loaded all the kids on the party barge and sent them off into the night. I think there was about 16 people on the boat and two were adults! They had a blast and in the morning they did it again.

Just being geeks.
