Valentines

Me and Kyle don't do much for Valentine's Day. Well truthfully we don't do much for any holiday! But I thought I would write a few nice things about how much I love him and let him do the same. This year to celebrate we went to Liquid Joes (Shocker!) for the Spazmatics! It was kind of a belated b-day too because Liz was out of town for the birthday weekend extravaganza! We had a lot of fun and a bunch of people from Blue Cross, who I haven't seen in FOREVER, came and we had a ton of fun!

Here are a few things I love about Kyle and being married to Kyle, some of these you have read before but they are still true!

We get along very well. I can't remember the last time we had a fight. Of course we disagree with each other every once and a while but I can't remember the last time we raised our voices at each other. Our house is just so peaceful (minus all the crying and fighting from the 18 children!) and I wouldn't have it any other way.
He lets me do whatever I want, who would want anything else! Deep down he just wants me to be happy and is able to give me the freedom to do so!
He does house work! He realizes that while I have the kids they are awake and when he has them they are asleep and he uses that time to make sure the house doesn't fall apart. This is one of my favorite things, because honestly if I tried to do everything I would end up killing myself.
He has amazing friends. I am so lucky that he has such an amazing judge of character. I am totally socially retarded and without him I wouldn't know 80% of the awesome people I get the pleasure to call friends. So while I am grateful to have such a loving husband I am also grateful that he surrounds our family with amazing people too.
He fully supports me in any and all en devours we or I take on!
Last but definitely not least....
He's dang sexy! That's always a plus!

Now I am making Kyle say (write) something. (He is not happy about this!)

Yep she really is making me do this. Well I kinda really suck at this but here goes. I love being married to Tara because I feel that we get along more then any couple from our era. She also is the only girl that will read a book in a race on the freeway at 110 or getting the motor home stuck in the sand. She lets me do a lot of what I want so long as it fits into the budget. I'm sure she would let me do more if I asked. I don't like leaving her on her own (e.g. boys trip to Moab or dunes). She is my best friend and I want her to be able to hang with my friends just the same. I like her confidence in me even when I'm doing something dumb (very common). I love that she will do the kid things I can't, do to my suuuuupperrr weak stomach. I also like that she says she wants to retire into a motor home and see the country and no longer have a house. Some times she doesn't always seem like that is really what she wants though, but she is willing to do it for me. There are tons and tons of other things that I just can't list because it would be a book on a blog.

Tara... I just want to add one more little quick thing! We have very good communication skills. We tell each other how we feel and what we want. Here's the kicker we actually listen to what the other is saying! If something, ANYTHING, is important to one of us, the other makes it important for them too! I honestly think if you can figure out how to do this in your own relationship you will find your life a lot more pleasant!

Hanging out with Kara, and old Jr High friend, at Liquid Joes!

What a year

It has been a year since I started our blog! One of my very first posts was my 25th b-day and this post is my 26th! I had a birthday weekend extravaganza! We went to the bar...of course! The Thursday before we went to the Metal Gods at Liquid Joes, then Saturday we went to Keys on Main. On my actual birthday, Monday night, my mom and Doug bought us dinner at Ruby River....YUMMY! It was a good time. Here are a few pics!

January

I found a few more pictures from January, nothing too exciting, but I thought they were cute!

My kids are obsessed with Yoga! I bought a DVD thinking it would be something they would like to do while they are trapped inside in the winter. I was right!

Finally!

Here are the pics of the painting. These pretty much are the only pics I took in January. Ethan turned 6 on the 10th but did I have my camera.. no! So here you go, we finally said goodbye to the awful country wallpaper!

A couple before.....

This shows the kitchen wall paper pretty well

This shows the whiteness and country-ness of the living room paper!

The finished project......

Sorry I don't have a kitchen pic, or pics without people in them, but I think you get the idea!
